Annotated Bibliography Review

I kind of saw this coming.  I have a lot of work to do.  After seeing an example in class I feel like I have a better idea of how detailed the annotation should be.  As I said in my other post, my structure and/or format was pretty good with the exception of the header.  I totally spaced on that one.  Overall, it doesn't look like the Annotated Bibliography will give me too many problems down the line.  All I need to do is make it a little more detailed and add the header and I'll be satisfied.

Annotated Bibliography

I decided to go along the route of choosing the "Adopted Children's Identity Rights" for my topic.  The annotated bibliography was a bit of a hassle in that some of the sources I found, I would print out and when I went back to find the source online, it would not be accessable.  A great pain? Yes, I think so.  Anyways, I'm not entirely sure if my paper really hit the spot on what an annotated bibliography is supposed to accomplish because I didn't fully understand what was supposed to be included in the description of each source.  However, it should have the correct formatting, structure, and each description gives a pretty vague idea of what you can find in each source, so I think it should do just fine for a rough draft.  I'm interested to see what will be the next step in shaping up this paper.  I only hope that I will not have to do a complete overhaul on the entire work.

Five Possible Topics for Research Arguments:

1) Psychiatric Care - I have two main reasons for choosing this topic.  One being that I have someone close to me that I believe should receive a psychological evaluation of some sort as well as care to follow because it is obvious to me that he could be a danger to himself and others.  The other is actually something I saw on TV about someone who had paranoid schizophrenia.  This man sought help on several occasions and five of these times he murdered someone very soon after being denied the help that he was looking for.
2) The Legal Drinking Age - I personally believe its bogus that the government believes that a young adult between the ages of 18 and 21 can be made responsible for the life of another human being as they are eligible to join the military as being responsible enough to vote and make decisions for the entire nation, but still not responsible enough to drink alcohol.
3) The Legalization of Marijuana - There are several studies that prove that Marijuana is less damaging or dangerous than other drugs like Tobacco or Alcohol while these things are legal.  It could also provide us with a new market, which could help our damaged economy.
4) The Identity Rights of Adopted Children - I personally believe that the Adoptive Parents should be made responsible for determining whether or not the Biological Parents may be allowed to see these children.  The process of adoption forfeits parenthood and/or legal responsibility to the Adoptive Parents, and the presence of two sets of parents could confuse the children or detract from the parenting experience of the Adoptive Parents and I believe that is an infringement on their rights.
5) Stem Cell Research - Though it is clichéd, I believe that Stem Cell Research will have a major role in the future of medicine.  There are many moral conflicts with this, but I think the opportunity is too good to pass up.
